🤔 Wondering where to go shopping and not get ripped off on the price?
Below, I am going to leave you with a series of sections that will be useful to know when choosing an outlet, depending on your fashion tastes or the type of clothes you want, the distance, the schedule and more important things.
👜 How many outlets are in Barcelona?
Barcelona is a very visited European city both for its tourist sites, as for its beaches and its good weather, to this, we must add that prices in general are very cheap, especially in clothing stores, so many people come to buy in their outlets.
These facts have caused Barcelona to have a total of more than 20 outlets of which in this article we will only touch on the most important ones, since many of them are small shops that are usually temporary or too small.
➡️ Name of the outlets and brands
As mentioned above, there are many outlets in Barcelona, but in order not to make you dizzy with so much information, I will name the 3 main outlets that I assure you that you will be satisfied with them:
1. La Roca Village
La Roca Village is a very cozy outlet, with high level brands among which we can find Golden Goose, Off White and Moncler.
In my opinion, compared to the one in Madrid, which belongs to the same group, La Roca Village has a larger number of stores, with more than 140 and with luxury brands that are now booming and in greater quantity.
This complex has a large space where you can have a walk in the open air while shopping, and where, apart from stores, you can also enjoy its restaurants.
2. Viladecans The Style Outlets
In this outlet you will find mostly sport stores such as Nike, Le Coq Sportif and Adidas. However, there are also mid-range clothing brands such as Desigual, Jack & Jones, Guess and many others …
Compared to the rest, this outlet is the one with the highest discounts of up to 70% on some brands.
As in La Roca Village, it is a beautifully designed outdoor enclosure, but with little variety of restaurants to eat or have a drink.
3. El Corte Inglés Outlet Meridiana
This outlet corresponds to the largest chain of shopping centers in Spain: El Corte Inglés.
In order to get rid of leftover stock, they have created several outlets where brands of all kinds, including luxury brands, are offered at deep discount.
We can find brands such as Givenchy, Alexander Mcqueen, Versace, Blamain … and other mid-range brands such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and others.
⌛️ How far are the outlets from the center of Barcelona?
If you are thinking of going to La Roca Village, depending on the means of transport you choose, it may take more or less time, but the average time is 40 minutes by car. There are also external factors such as rush hour when traffic is heavier and can take longer
Viladecans The Style Outlet is located on the opposite side of La Roca Village, and at a much shorter distance from Barcelona. But as mentioned above, everything can vary a lot depending on the time you decide to go to the outlet. The average driving time in good circumstances is about 20 minutes.
On the other hand, the outlet of El Corte Inglés Outlet Meridiana is located in Barcelona city but not in the city center, so at first glance it may seem to be close but it takes 20 minutes by subway and the street where it is situated is: Avda. Meridiana, 350-358, 08027 Barcelona
🕒 Schedule of the outlets in Barcelona
Normally the opening hours of the stores in Barcelona are from 10 am to 9 pm, but the day of the week or holidays may also have an influence.
La Roca Village is open every day of the week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. More info
Viladecans The Style Outlet opens from Monday to Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. On Sundays only restaurants are open. More info
El Corte Inglés Outlet Meridiana has a schedule from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.,from Monday to Saturday, closing on Sundays. More info
🚗 How to get to the outlets?
La Roca Village
If you want to go to La Roca Village, I would recommend you to use the car as a way of transportation as it is the fastest of all. But you could also book the official luxury bus service, as they have a shuttle service from Estació del Nord in the city center of Barcelona to their facilities, and here you have more information about it.
If either of these last two options does not convince you, there is also another alternative to reach the complex by train. From the same web site it explains exactly how to go by train to La Roca Village.
You can also go by bus, but in my opinion I think it is the longest option in terms of time and with more difficulties since you should make transfers and it is very easy to make mistakes.
Anyway, if you are interested in this means of transportation, the buses that go to La Roca Village are: 405 and L51.
Viladecans The Style Outlet
This outlet is located very close to the airport, so it may be very useful for last minute shopping.
For reaching there, as I said before, the fastest way is by car, but if someone wants to go by public transport, the website of the company explains how to get to the enclosure by public transport, you just need to scroll down from the link I have provided and you will see a section that says: “HOW TO ARRIVE”.
El Corte Inglés Outlet Meridiana
If you are in the center of the city, this option will be the most suitable for you.
In this case, I would not recommend the car as it is quite difficult to park in the center, or even parking, if you are going to stay for a long period of time the ticket can be a bit expensive.
The best option is definitely to go by subway, and get off at “La Sagrera station”, which belongs to line 1 and it takes 9 min walking to the outlet.
Here I leave you the website of the Metro of Barcelona in case it helps you to know which lines to take from your origin to your destination.
🍽️ Are there restaurants or places to have a drink near the outlet?
Yes, in all the outlets there are places around that offer food and drinks, both to take away and to eat in the same restaurant.
At La Roca Village, there are restaurants within the same complex that offer breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner services at any time during shopping center hours. You can get discounts in restaurants for in-store purchases or if you register on their website.
In Viladecans The Style Outlet, you can only find coffee shops where they can also offer you something to eat, but without being like a restaurant. More info
At El Corte Inglés Outlet Meridiana, you can also find a wide variety of places to eat around it. Since there is no food service inside the mall itself. But just outside the outlet, next to it, there are a lot of bars that offer delicious “tapas”.
